All time World XI in Test

I have tried to compile a test team, that has played through different eras, in different conditions. The captain for this side was difficult to pick. I have pick a controversial pick leaving some of the knights. Let me know what you think..

1. Sir Jack Hobbs

2. Herbert Sutcliffe

3. Sir Don Bradman

4. Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar

5. Sir Garfield Sobers

6. Jacques Kallis

7. Kumar Sangakara (w)

8. Sir Richard Hadlee

9. Malcolm Marshall

10. Shane Warne (c)

11. Muttiah Muralidharan

  1. I would like Gavaskar to be one of the openers. Also, if Sobers and bowl spin, will go with one more seamer- McGrath instead of 2 specialist spinner. Difficult to say which opener and spinner will sit out.

    1. Gavaskar, Smith, Cook were all very good. I did have a hard time picking my openers. But Hobbs and Sutcliffe are as a pair a legendary opening pair and individually were the best batsmen in the England line up, during the Bradman era..
On the second point, I had Viv Richards in my first line up, who was a handy off spinner. But Sobers, I picked him as a pure batsman. The allround ability just makes him indispensable. But good thought. Thanks for sharing..
